BRISTOL SCHOOL OF ANAESTHESIA

About the School Subspeciality Training Pain Pain - Advanced

Advanced Pain Training Year (ST6/7)

An Advanced Chronic Pain Training year in ST 6/7 is available within the Bristol School.
All trainees spend six months at Frenchay and can then rotate to either Cheltenham/Gloucester, or Bath or the BRI. All pain fellows should become members of the Pain Faculty of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Current members require a portfolio, but do not need to do a formal assessment, but in future trainees will need to be assessed.

If interested in Advanced training please inform the Programme Director (Susan.Underwood@ubht.nhs.uk) and the Pain Regional Adviser (mark.taylor@phnt.swest.nhs.uk) of your intentions, as early as possible.
